Updates to Export Fields for State-Specific Questions

Beginning with the 2026-27 survey cycle, the export field names for state-specific questions will be standardized to use the question number instead of an abbreviated description of the question. This will allow for easier identification of which answers correspond to which questions. This change will not affect the 2025-26 survey cycle.

State-specific question numbers utilize the format "XX-1", where "XX" is the state abbreviation. Below is an example of how the export field names will be reformatted.

Example question XX-1: "In the past year, have you had any trouble getting dental care?"

Current export field name: XX_TRBLGETDENTCARE

Updated export field name: XX_1
